What is the student travel product and what can I do with it?

The student travel product is part of student finance. It lets you travel on Dutch public transport for free or at a discount. You can pick a weekday or weekend product.

Your student travel product is a loan (in 2025 € 109,04 per month). Only if you graduate within 10 years, the travel product will be converted into a gift. For this reason you can also choose not to collect it from a pick-up device.

You can go for either a weekday or a weekend subscription. Switching between them later is no problem.
