About us
The student travel product is the name of the electronic travel product to which you may be entitled when you apply for it at DUO. The role of Regisseur Studenten Reisrecht BV (RSR) is to execute the student travel product so that you can travel with this product.
Processing personal data
RSR performs the digital administration of the student travel product on the OV-chipkaart. This is laid down in the Wet Studiefinanciering 2000 and is done on behalf of the public transport companies. DUO and the public transport companies both data protection regulation.
From whom does RSR process personal data?
Upon receipt of your data, supplied by DUO and by yourself, RSR will incorporate the data into its digital records.
What does RSR process personal data for?
RSR uses this data so that you can pick-up, change and cancel the student travel product for your personal OV-chipkaart . In addition, RSR provides support services.
Will my personal data be shared with others?
Your data will not be provided to third parties or used for commercial purposes without your explicit consent. RSR ensures that your BSN is protected for the public transport companies. RSR processes and secures supplied data carefully, in accordance with the GDPR. The files/copies, of for example your identity card, OV-chipkaart and any BSN letter from the municipality or tax authority, will be destroyed within three working days after processing your application. If your details are incomplete, RSR will digitally store the evidence supplied for a maximum of two months, in order to give you the opportunity to complete the missing details.
What rights do you have?
At the time we process your personal data, you have several rights. For example, you can ask what personal data we process about you and request that this data be amended or supplemented. For other questions, complaints or if you would like to receive more information, please contact DUO. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Independent supervisory authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)
