What about security,privacy and DigiD?

  • Why is a copy of an ID requested? Surely this information is already known to the government?

    Verification of personal data cannot be fully performed without requesting a copy of ID. Regisseur Studenten Reisrecht (RSR), which owns Studentenreisproduct.nl, works on behalf of the transport companies and is not a government agency. RSR does not have access to basic registrations.

  • How secure is my data at Studentenreisproduct.nl?

    Studentenreisproduct.nl respects privacy and makes every effort to protect it to prevent, among other things, identity fraud. We find it important that our service is transparent, personal and reliable.

    Our privacy policy tells you how we handle your personal data. These are processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). The legal principles - such as 'privacy-by-design', 'privacy-by-default', and 'data minimization' - are translated into strict physical, organizational and technical security measures and continuous monitoring of these, in order to evaluate and improve them. The effectiveness of the measures taken is tested annually in an independent audit based on the ISO 27002 control measures. This ensures that information security is a controlled process and fraud is prevented. We also have a responsible disclosure policy.

  • DigiD is not accessible, what should I do?

    How annoying that DigiD is not accessible. We advise you to try again later. Current information about malfunctions and maintenance work can be found on DigiD.

    You can also submit a pairing request by mail. If you want to do this, you can request a pairing form and send it by mail along with the requested attachments.

  • Why does Studentenreisproduct.nl use DigiD?

    DigiD makes linking the student travel product to your OV-chipkaart easier and faster. This eliminates the need to re-enter all your data. Please note that we do not receive all your personal data when you log in via DigiD.

  • How do I apply for DigiD?

    You can apply for DigiD at DigiD. Note that you request DigiD with SMS verification. After your application you will receive a letter from DigiD with an activation code.

  • Why is DigiD with SMS verification required?

    To linking the student travel product to your personal OV-chipkaart , we request privacy-sensitive information from you and third parties (such as DUO). Therefore, we opt for an extra security of your data via an SMS check.

  • May I authorize someone to linking my student travel product to my OV-chipkaart via DigiD?

    No, it is not possible to authorize someone for linking. You have tolinking the student travel product to your OV-chipkaart yourself via your personal DigiD (with SMS verification).

  • I forgot my username and/or password for DigiD.

    If you have forgotten your login information, you must reapply for it through DigiD.

  • Can Iink my student travel product to my OV-chipkaart from abroad via DigiD?

    Yes, you can linking from abroad. Make sure you have requested your DigiD with SMS verification in advance, as it is not possible to do this outside the Netherlands. How you can request this can be found via DigiD.
