Public transit is introducing a new way to check in and out on public transit: OVpay. The OV-chipkaart and replaced by the OV-pas. By 2027, all students will make the switch. We’d like to test this thoroughly in advance so that everyone with a student travel pass can travel smoothly and hassle-free with OVpay. You’ll be one of the first students to switch to OVpay. We’d love to use your feedback to optimize the rollout for the students who follow.
What do we expect from you?
During the pilot, we’re asking you to be the first student to switch to OVPay. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- You get a free public transit pass;
- You switch online from OV-chipkaart the OV-pas;
- You travel just as you usually do, but using OVpay;
- During the pilot, please share your experiences with us so we can learn from them. This could include any issues or suggestions for improvement regarding the use of the Student Travel Product in OVpay.
What do we offer you?
By participating in the pilot, you’ll receive a free public transit pass from us. In addition, we’ll reward your participation with a €50 Bol.com gift card.
You will receive this as soon as you share a summary of your travel transactions with us.
Terms and Conditions (the fine print):
- You have a OV-chipkaart an active student travel pass.
