Request correction stop date

Do you disagree with your stop date? Then you can request a 'Correction of Stopping Date'. You can only request a correction stop date if there is a known stop date and you meet the conditions.

When can you not request a correction stop date ?

  • When you yourself forgot to stop the student travel product;
  • If no cessation date is registered in My DUO;
  • If you cannot prove that you actually stopped the student travel product. Think of a transaction statement or a confirmation email as evidence;

If there is a case of force majeure due to: a demonstrable medical reason that prevented you from cancel the student travel product earlier, or because it was not possible because you are or have been temporarily detained, you can object to the cancellation date with DUO.

When can you do request a correction stop date?

  • When you can prove that you stopped your student travel product at a pick-up machine earlier than the recorded stop date.

Processing time

Processing your 'request correction stop date' will take up to two weeks. A correction stop date is intended to correct an unjustified stop date and not to extend entitlement to the student travel product.
