Picking up (activating) your student travel product
After you successfully linked (koppelen) your student travel product you’ll only need to pick up your product at a pick-up device.
You can pick up your student travel product two weeks before the starting date (ingangsdatum). When studentenreisproduct.nl receives notice from DUO that your student travel product has been accepted we will send an e-mail stating the product is ready at a pick-up device. Please make sure you linked the right card in our Mijn omgeving. If you still have your old card linked then you can’t pick up the student travel product with your new card.
To give you an example:
Example 1:
- You applied for student travel product on February 1st and you received notice from DUO that you starting date will be September 1st. You can pick up and activate your student travel product on august 15th.
- We will send you an e-mail that your student travel product is ready for pick up at the pick-up-devices.
- You can travel for free from the starting date September 1st. The days before the starting date the product is still invalid so you will have to travel at own costs.
Example 2
- You applied for student travel product on August 1st and you received notice from DUO that you starting date will be September 1st. You can pick up and activate your student travel product on august 15th.
- We will send you an e-mail that your student travel product is ready for pick up at the pick-up-devices.
- You can travel for free from the starting date September 1st. The days before the starting date the product is still invalid so you will have to travel at own costs.
Picking up an order
Search for a pick-up device near you. Enter your address and select the type of service you wish to use. The result will give you the ten nearest locations and what types of services are provided there.
