My OV-chipkaart has been stolen/lost

Has your personal OV-chipkaart been stolen or lost somewhere along the way? Then you need to do the following to be able to travel again:

Report your card lost/stolen first

If your OV-chipkaart is lost or stolen, report this via My OV-chip. Your card will be blocked (within 24 hours) and can no longer be used. So always check first whether you really have lost it.

Apply directly for a replacement OV-chipkaart

When you report your card stolen/lost, you can immediately request a replacement card via your My OV-chip. You will receive your replacement card within a week on average.

Do you still have an anonymous card? If so, apply for the Temporary Student Travel Pass

Please note:As of July 1, new anonymous OV-chipcards are no longer being sold. If you don’t have OV-chipkaart anonymous OV-chipkaart, you cannot apply for a Temporary Student Travel Pass. You may be able to use an existing anonymous OV-chipkaart someone you know.

Don't have OV-chipkaart anonymous OV-chipkaart? Then youcannotapply for a Temporary Student Travel Pass.Have you OV-chipkaart your personal OV-chipkaart ?In that case, you are generally not eligible for reimbursement of the travel expenses you incur while waiting for your replacement OV-chipkaart.
