Validity per product
A Student Travel Product lets you travel by public transport for free or with a discount in the Netherlands. If you’re living with your parents, you might enjoy having a weekday subscription to travel to uni or school. If you have your own place, you might have more use for a weekend subscription. You can’t use your Student Travel Product for night buses and train travel with Thalys and Eurostar. To travel with Intercity Direct, you will have to pay a supplement.
Weekday subscription
- Travel for free on weekdays
- Travel on credit with a discount (40% by train, 34% by bus, tram, subway and waterbus) during the weekend and on public holidays.
Weekend subscription
- Travel for free during the weekend and on public holidays
- Travel on credit with a discount (40% by train, 34% by bus, tram, subway and waterbus) on mondays and from Tuesday to Friday after 9 am.
- Travel on full credit from Tuesday to Friday before 9 am.
Important: moment of check in time is leading. If you want to travel for free on a Friday, do not check in before noon (12 pm).
